Centre of Minimal Invasive Surgery of Guangxi Medical University was established in Nov.2003. Prof. Lu Bangyu and Prof. Wang Wenguang did the first case of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Guangxi. In 2002 the laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy which was the first case in China was successfully performed. in our centre. Till now our centre have preformed 5 cases of  laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy and verous laparoscopic procedure including laparoscopic hepatectomy, choledocholithotomy, splenectomy, gastrectomy, colectomy, nephrotomy, thyroidectomy, mastectomy, herniorrhaphy, etc.
    There are six Professors and  assistant Professors in our centre. We owe three laparoscopy sets and two Ultrasound dissections., and ligasure, especially High Intensity Focused Ultrasound（HIFU） which is powerful instrument for treatment tumor. Comparing with opening operation, the characteristic of HIFU is minimal and invasive therapy.
    We are now accepting applications for surgeon. The Fellowship is intended for board eligible General Surgeons. The Fellow is instructed in the evaluation and care of patients who require laparoscopic surgical procedures.
